BART adheres to the Privacy Act 1993 (New Zealand).

You can visit most parts of the BART Website without revealing any information about yourself.

Our use of your personal information

We will only use personal information for the purpose for which it was collected. We will not give, sell, rent or trade your personal information to others without first obtaining your consent, unless required to do so by law.

If we contemplate any use other than that which is disclosed to the individual, it will first obtain the permission for the new use from that individual before it uses the information in such a manner.

We may hire a trusted third party to help us process personal information for specific projects - however, your information will be protected by strict confidentiality agreements.

Your rights and obligations

You are entitled under the Privacy Act 1993 (New Zealand) to access the personal information that BART holds about you. If you believe any detail of your personal information to be incorrect, you may request that it be corrected. In doing this, you agree to pay BART the reasonable charges requested by BART in relation to the time and attendance involved in complying with your request in this regard.
